A client, Thomas Jason, needs to hire Richard on a matter involving an inheritance. Should the man change his will? Richard agrees to visit Thomas and the family, but first a visit to his policeman friends to learn background on the Jason family.

<p>In the mansion, Richard encounters the disfunctional Jason’s. A disgruntled daughter isn’t much help, but the Gardner tells that Thomas was hauled away to a rest home, wearing a straight jacket. Richard tries to get himself committed to the sanitarium, but the doctor gives him a hard time getting admitted. The crazy act finally works, but will it get Richard any closer to his client? Even if it does, how will Diamond get himself out? </p>
<p>The worried daughter visits the doctor, and they need to act fast to get rid of old Thomas. Have they smelled something fishy with the snooping Richard? A thump on the head is what it takes to keep Richard under wraps. </p>
<p>This could be the end for Richard when even his disparate phone call to Walt Levinson isn’t believed. The clock ticks. Richard digs his own grave. Will his fast talking just be a bluff, or have the cops finally arrived? </p>
