Becky and Jake are on their way home from an evening dinner dance. As usual, Jake complains about his feet hurting him. Becky gets onto him about how much he ate and drank. Has he been acting like a gigolo?
She complains about the 20 dances he had with the same woman. To her, the woman looked like Ida Goldfarb, Jake’s old flame. They finally make it to the car, and make quick work at getting home. The whole time Becky needles Jake about how tired he is.
Jake continuously defends himself over his dancing prowess, and dancing partner. Jake claims that he only danced with her because it was her business as a dance hall girl. Can he ever convince Becky that he never thinks of Ida Goldfarb? The blooms settle into their cozy bed for the night. The telephone rings, but why is Sydney calling them at this time of night? Is there some emergency? He learns the woman he danced with all night was Ida Goldfarb’s cousin.
