As Lum and Abner try to think of ways to make the store more efficient, Lum wants to order a book on salesmanship. In the process, Abner gets confused at his figure of speech about Dick Huddleston stealing away customers while they slept. What the guys need is to build a better mouse trap, but Abner doesn’t understand that idea either.
Abner gets on a roll where he wants to trap customers with a bear trap, or an Indian snare. That’s the only thing big enough to trap a person.
