Pa marvels at the precious items that Ma feels she ought to pack.
Elsewhere, Annie and Joe plan to declare that they also want to go on the trip. How will the Silo’s take the news? They seem to have thought of everything, permission from parents, staying in school, and all that’s left is to get packed.
Sounds like a fun adventure. Too bad the story is missing. All we can do is imagine the trouble Jed is in, and the things Annie gets herself into.
