In the Jot ‘Em Down store, we find Lum and Abner answering a phone call to take an order for Sister Simpson. They seem to be out of Alka Seltzer, and Abner tells how popular it is with folks around in town. What do they do with it all anyway?
As Lum and Abner turn to playing checkers, the gents talk about radio advertisements that the product has. It’s no wonder that it’s always selling so well. Lum reads Abner a letter from a distant relative to talk about the happenings, and the intermixed shopping list in the margins. The orders and phone calls just never seem to stop for our heroes. They really ought to stock up more.
