Jack Benny – Listening To The World Series On theRadio. ep664, 481010_

A black and white photograph of Jack Benny, a man in a suit and tie, standing against a plain background. He is looking off to the side with a slight smile on his face, and his hands are clasped in front of him. Benny was a comedian and actor, best known for his radio and television shows in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. The photograph conveys a sense of classic Hollywood glamour and style, with Benny's sharp features and piercing blue eyes on prominent display.

As Rochester cleans house, he finds Jack’s diary laying around. Through it, he gets a few candid glimpses of Jack’s recent trip to Europe. As Rochester prepares for the World Series party, Polly talks to Jack. Rochester gets caught over reading the diary, but in the process, Jack’s mystery echo is back.

Dennis is the first to arrive with sad news of his uncle passing away, but only he can manage to make it sound funny. Dennis has fun with voice characterizations as he sings, Hair of Gold Eyes of Blue.

Next, Don and Mary arrive, and a few more jokes about the trip to England creep out. Conversation turns to sports, and the echo returns to haunt Jack.

Phil jokes around, Mary has trouble with her lines, then the game is on. Frank Nelson gives colorful commentary as well as being very interactive. As the battle between the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians, owned by Bob Hope, the Sportsmen sing the commercial as they pretend to be Indians.

Toss reality to the wind as the game play, and announcer get more and more crazy.
