Dreaming of a road trip to their old stomping grounds in Illinois, and the mid-West. Fibber’s not too keen on surviving an ordeal with Molly’s tiresome relatives. Instead, Fibber wants to stay home while Molly visits her sister. Now it’s time for Molly to worry about Fibber’s plans of all night poker games, or sitting around the house moping. Will he be able to round up his old poker buddies from his bachelor days? Cabbage Head McGee brags about his younger days as an Army cook to prove he can prepare his own meals while Molly is gone.
How about Fibber’s ability to take care of other duties of the household? Molly grills him over topics including sewing on buttons, and vacuuming the floor. Fibber realizes that he is pretty lucky to have married a woman.
Fibber speculates about the fun he’ll have to occupy his time. Will he be able to fit in Molly’s list of daily chores? Dealing with the milk man, insurance agent, laundry, getting fuel oil, and the like. Maybe it’ll just be easier on Fibber to make the trip too.
