Harlowe Wilcox joins Fibber and Molly, as they travel to the headquarters of the sponsor. Arriving by cab, they talk about the building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Mayor Latrivia pitches in with the dignified points of trivia about Johnson’s Wax, but the McGee’s still give him a hard time about his travelling itinerary. Inside the highly polished building, Fibber manages to have a run in with a full closet. Billy Mills plays, and the Kingsman sing, Zippety Doo Dah.
The intercom system in the modern building makes an impression on Fibber. Have they mentioned it enough yet? It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, architect extraordinaire, and native of Wisconsin. Doc Gamble pops in to annoy Fibber as he talks about his adventures during his visit. Even Wallace Wimple makes an appearance to talk about his new job with the sponsor.
Through the show Fibber jokes about Johnson’s Wax, and gets facts wrong about the sponsor, but in the end, he and Molly share a brief word in respect for their sponsor. Being an election year, election returns are tacked to the end of the show. Will the Republicans unseat the Democrats for the Senate seats? Only time will tell. OK, if you’re a history buff, you know the outcome already.
