In a saloon, a couple of hardcases talk about their latest scam to part the miners from their hard-earned money. Their boat is about to be rocked when they learn that Jim Harris, one of the miners, has sent for Wild Bill.

As Bill and Jingles ride to Silver City, Jim is bushwacked, and Bill arrives in time to hear his last words. The sheriff is in denial over the scandal of murders, believing them to be only unrelated accidents. However, Bill is determined to get to the bottom of it. A knife is thrown at Bill with a warning to leave town.

Whew! With all this two-gun suspense, it’s time for a sponsor break. Do you know why? Because kids love pops, moms love pops, and pops love pops.

Bill and Jingles get set on the track of Sourdough, a rival miner. They face up to him in his mine, and he tells his side of the story.
An avalanche is set off that buries Bill and Jingles, but was it really Sourdough? The town all turn to digging out the blocked mine, while Sourdough is locked in jail for safe keeping. Bill has found a second opening to the mine, and has already gotten himself out. So, why couldn’t the other miner get himself out? Simple, he was already dead before he got stuck.

I feel a dramatic conclusion coming on. Time for a recharge of pops. Quick! I need another dose of pops!

As the bad guy’s plan on more sabotage, Wild Bill already has them figured out, and sets them up in a trap of his own. Does Bill have actual proof? Is he just bluffing? In the face off, who will crack first?
