Roy opens with, Locket in My Pocket. Well known movie villain, Porter Hall is introduced to the audience booing. In real life Porter was anything but as terrible as his on-screen characters. Today he’ll get the chance to be the hero for a change. The Sons of the Pioneers sing, Ragtime Cowboy Joe.

The Farr Brothers play, Cajun Stomp. Pat Friday plays in a little melodrama where she’s about to lose her mortgage to Porter, but Roy saves the day. She then sings, Closer Than Pages in a Book.

Roy prepares to narrate, as the legends of Pecos Bill are performed. First, the Sons of the Pioneers sing, Wanderers of the Wasteland. Roy sings that new Western ballad, Don’t Blame it All on Me.
Bill was nearly grown when he was born, and wrestled wild animals for fun. A natural cowhand, Bill worked with the best, and set out on his own to be responsible for digging Death Valley, and more. Bill’s the kind of tough guy who could ride cyclones, and light his cigarettes with lightning.

Roy leads the whole gang in singing, Skies are Bluer.
