Jake is tired after a long day at work, and doesn’t want to go out for supper. He works hard all day, and what does mama do all day? Uh-oh Jake, I wouldn’t have gone there. Mama is sure to let you know all about her day.
Chores in the kitchen, fending off door to door salesmen, and more are shared, in between Jakes complaints about being tired. Which is worse, his hard work, or being frustrated at Sidney’s success in bringing business to the shop?
Will Jake enjoy his pleasure at spending the quiet night at home? When Sally and Sidney pop in, will Jake wish he changed his mind? The shop talk might spill more beans than Jake wants mama to know about. Will Sidney understand what he did this time to make Jake upset with him? I think so.
PS: When I saw this title, I wondered if
the show would be a little racy. Nah, this is the 1930’s, and that stuff happened in real life, not the radio. Then I thought it might be an elopement. Nope again, it’s just a visit from Sidney.
