The Lone Ranger and Tonto are at the bedside of a man who tells about a place called Paradice Valley. Though Lone Ranger and Tonto know that such a place doesn’t exist, it is still the stuff that legends are made of, and are worried that others who were present at the time might think it’s real. The Lone Ranger tries to talk sense to the man’s son, but will the youngster take the advice that Paradice Valley is just a figment of the old man’s imagination?
The son’s curiosity is fueled when he finds a map in his dad’s possessions. If the place does exist, the son is entitled to it as his dad’s estate, but I got a feeling that others might be more motivated by greed to take it from him.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto ride to do what they can to head off trouble. Will they be able to set the kid straight, and keep the bad guys from doing him harm? It’s a horse race as all the parties converge on each other. The ordeal becomes tougher when the weather conspires against the Lone Ranger, and a rain storm kicks up.
A break comes when a clue from the young man is found. How lucky, how insightful of the guy to leave it, but I’ll bet the Lone Ranger would have still caught up with them on his own.
The moral of the story is that you have to build your own happiness, it can’t be something that’s just handed too you.
