Spike Jones opens with, I Found a New Baby. Spike talks with the announcer about being tired. He has been travelling cross country to perform.
Spike introduces Dorthy Shea who sings, I’ve Been to Hollywood. Then Spike and Dorothy talk about making pictures in Hollywood. Spike is a one-man production company.
Next, Spike introduces his vocalists then performs, Laura.
After the commercial Spike talks with Frankie Lane. Frankie and Dorothy share their adoration of each other’s music. Spike seems just a little jealous. Frankie Lane sings a line from his big hit, You’re My Desire, followed by his latest recording, Two Loves Have I. Dorothy is back to sing, I Wish I Didn’t Love You So.
In the fashion of Spike’s earlier shows, the unique musical stars join forces for a medley of Johnny Mercer tunes. Frankie leads off with Small Fry. Followed by Dorothy singing, Accentuate the Positive. Finally Spike and his vocalist perform, That Old Black Magic.
To close, Spike and Dorothy introduce their show for next week. It’s due to feature Tex Williams.
