This is an AFRS presentation, so commercials have been replaced with dance music. Get ready to do some ball room dancing in between the comedy.
Today we find George and Gracie out doing some shopping, and Gracie shares a few items from her list with George. If she gets her way, all roads will lead to a mink coat. Temptation is tossed George’s way, Gracie uses all her charms and secret weapons to sway his decision, but is he caving in yet? When his Texas neighbor Judson pops in, George gets the idea of doing some rabbit hunting and using the free furs to make a coat for Gracie. Bandleader, Meredeth Willson arrives to add his thoughts on rabbit hunting.
After a brief interlude to pick up his car from the shop, George, Bill Goodwin, and Gracie get ready for their hunting trip to the great outdoors. With the army of hunters tagging along, it’s amazing they get anything at all, but this is comedy, and radio, and anything can happen. Suddenly the inept George has rabbits falling at his feet.
Gracie resolves to wear whatever George ends up shooting himself, no matter what it is. Hmm… me isn’t she brave.
Note: In case you couldn’t place him, the mechanic who gives George grief over his car is Elliot Lewis. You may remember that Elliot was also in the 1940 season as the always disgruntled Harvard educated sound man who was upset that all he did was slam doors for a living. Also, George’s big talking Texas neighbor, Judson, is Gale Gordon.

Bracie: Well, you could shoot a rabbit to if you found a blind folded rabbit.
