With Lizabeth taking over as the new sheriff, she isn’t at home anymore, and Abner is left as her message center. She has been in the newspaper for her work in taking down the bank robbers, and she’s busier than ever. Abner is feeling the weight of doing more of the household chores, missing his wife, and a little jealous over her attention in the press.
Lum and Abner read a few highlights from the news article, and it makes Lizabeth seem like an old time Western sheriff. Demands have been made to have her appear on the stage, or even in movies. Might there be some merchandizing or sponsorship opportunities for her future? Abner has doubts if he wants his wife to take part in any of that stuff. A talent scout stops in to see if he can get the new glamour girl to be in his movie.
Note: Speaking of movies, this story line is leading somewhere. Things will come to a head soon, and the guys will take time off from their radio show to start work on their first movie.
