Recently, the men’s protective association formed to protect the rights of men, and save them from being so henpecked. Today Lum and Abner are in the Jot ‘Em Down store discussing the gal that Lum has been sweet on lately. Lum has a note from her, but before he opens it, he and Abner talk about Valentines Day.
Abner gets confused over the big red hearts, Cupid, and other symbols of the day. Finally, Lum gets to open his Valentine, but Abner gets a laugh at the handmade card full of mushy sentiments. Well at least she is poetic in telling Lum she isn’t interested in him. Abner gets back on the track of the protection society by telling how the guys were able to help out Mose Moot.
Squire enters to call a special meeting to announce that the women are fighting back by organizing their own association.
