Announcer, Ken Niles does the usual announcer things and delivers the opening commercial and introduces the players in the show. Gracie comes out singing the song she closed with last week. It seems she still can’t remember the way it finishes.
George and Gracie talk with bandleader Henry James about whiskers and facial hair. Ken announces that Tony Martin is late for his spot to sing his song. hey maybe George can do it? Tony gets to the stage just in time, and Gracie backs down on chewing Tony out on his tardiness. Tony sings, It’s Love I’m After.
Tony tells why he arrived late. A conversation on the topic of excuses for being late begins, as well as a theme of movies, directors and celebrities.
A visiting director gives George assistance with dramatic reading of the script. The band plays a mellow dance number.
Gracie brags about being Irish, and the great accomplishments of Irishmen. The movie director is back and wants to have Gracie do some romantic scenes with Tony Martin. The puns and word plays run the range of a polite snicker to a few outrageous reactions from the audience. The guys all join in and compete to see who is better at love scenes.
Gracie closes the show with a song. Who Is My Baby.
