Red Skelton talks with announcer Truman Bradley about traffic, movies, and dancing. Ozzie and Harriot arrive to join the talk about Red’s latest movie, I’ll take Manilla. Red tells about a love scene in the movie before Ozzie sings, Dear Arabella. It’s a song with a story that Harriot helps out with, and is an upbeat tune about a couple in love, but are tempted.
Red puts on a few sketches about traffic and pedestrians. First Red is a guy who is always trying to put the moves on girls. Harriot gives the insults right back. Next, it’s Junior the Mean Little Kid with Harriot as mom, as they take a test drive. Imagine the fun Junior can have when he is left alone in the car for a moment. Hey, that’s all it ever takes when you turn your back on a kid.
Next, Red and Harriot run out of gas on a hot, lonely, desert road where Wonderful Smith is the gas station attendant.

After the commercial, it’s more fun with cars. In the drivers license office, Paul Understaff, a simple-minded man, tries to pass the questions and tests required. His answers are candid, not exactly right, but designed for good comedy. When it comes to the driving test, the car shows definite need of safety equipment, and has an encounter with a train.
