Sometimes the smallest of common items can be the link to murder. Today, Orson Wells portrays how four small bottles were archived in the Black Museum.
Oscar has a friend named Edgar, who he brings into his house as a guest. Ann seems reluctant when Edgar spends the Summer, but might there be something of a love triangle brewing? Ann makes the statement that Oscar may not live to the end of the year, and sends Edgar out to buy chloroform. To take out grease spots, of course.
Orson continues to connect the dots to how those little bottles came to spell murder, and how the law got involved. A concern that Oscar was poisoned has Edgar worried, but Ann assures him that things will be OK. Is Ann a good enough actress to make the doctor, and coroner believe her possession of chloroform was entirely innocent? The nervous Edgar gets the cops involved, and the trial soon begins. Testimony hinges on the doctor’s claim that it’s impossible to die from an overdose of chloroform. Will the jury go for that?
Will ann get off the murder charge, or will Edgar take the fall? Listen in to the courtroom drama, and a few doubts that Orson points out about the result.
