When we last found Superman, he had just rescued Lois Lane, but Donelli has escaped and is running down the road. Chip Donelli talks with his henchmen, Spike as they set another deadly ambush for Clark Kent and his pals. Will he be able to retrieve his suitcase full of incriminating papers?
The imprvised explosive device is a powerful firebomb that will destroy anything that’s a hundred feet around. Elsewhere in the woods, Clark tells Jimmy that he thinks they’re safe from Donelli, and that the thugs have probably fled the area. They begin to wonder what’s in the suitcase, when Lois claims that she knows. She has already went through the papers in it.
The group of reporters make their way to Perry’s car, but Clark stays behind in case the police come by. Of course, it’s just so he can investigate matters as Superman.
Flying to where the bad guys are, Spike takes potshots at the man of steel, but to no affect. After a hair raising flight through the sky, Spike tells all about what Donelli is up to, but is it too late for Superman to fly there and disable the bomb in time?
Perry’s car is mysteriously stopped while cruising down the country road. After the spectacular explosion Clark is on hand to explain what just happened, but will his explanation of how he got there be enough for his friends? How long can he keep his secret identity a secret?
