Little Fox and the braves in his tribe are migrating North, and the season’s first moose hunt is to take place. Listening to advice from his grandmother, Little Fox makes his plan to take the largest bull moose.
All the braves are confident they’ll be the one to bring back the biggest moose, and wagers are made all around. As Little Fox hunts with his father, he sees his chance to use his grandmother’s advice. In an unexpected ordeal, Little Fox has to decide what’s more important, his wagers, or ethical hunting practice.
Smiling Ed McConnel is joined by Shortfellow, the poet. The guest is glad to not have Froggie the Gremlin around, but before he can talk to Ed, Midnight the kitten plays a nice tune. Mousie squeaks out a request, and Shortfellow is plagued by Froggie as he shares his story.
