In our last episode, the secret of the Emerald of the Incas was revealed, and the little brown men stole the emerald back. The get away was made in an autogyro, and today Clark talks with Elsie and her dad about how to catch them.
Making his excuses to leave, Clark rushes out to change to Superman, then he flies through the skies in search of the priests of the tribe. Elsewhere the tribal priests make their flight on the autogyro and they talk together about their success in regaining the emerald. What is that thing following them through the air? It looks like a man. Superman catches up with the autogyro to demand the emerald back, but the priests claim they don’t have it anymore.
Can Superman threaten the secret out of them? Superman smashes the propellers of the autogyro and watches it crash into the water below, but through Superman’s threats, and their descent to their doom, the priests keep silent, and bravely face their fate.
Back at Stone House, a fire is blazing as Clark returns. Elsie and the professer are frantic when they announce to Clark that the driver from the previous installments is trapped in the basement. Using his super powers, Clark rescues the man, and offers a lame story of how the fire caused his path to be an easy one.
Clark leaves, and the prof reveals a secret. It’s an amulet that he found, that one of the priests has dropped
Can it help in some way to decode the message on the emerald? Does Elsie know a secret of her own? Will Clark be able to find a sign of the emerald in the wreckage of the gyrocopter? All good questions, and ones that will be revealed in the next installments of Superman.
