Molly is less than impressed as Fibber gloats over his big catch at the fishing pond. Old Muley is famous in Wistful Vista as an ellusive challenge, but Fibber tells the drama of how he managed the feat of conquering the critter. Wallace Wimple visits with his own battle with the forces of nature, his wife Sweetie Face. Fibber, Molly, and Wimple share a moment of confusing word play bout taxidermists. Billy Mills plays and the Kingsmen sing, All the Cats Join In.
Mrs Carstairs enters to learn of the big news about catching Old Muley. Milliscent isn’t much of a fresh water fisherman, but she tells about an adventure deep sea fishing. Doc Gamble pops in to get an earful of Fibber’s boasting. Instead, Doc reveals the bad news that fishing season doesn’t start until midnight. Fibbers bragging turns into trying to cover his tracks, but too many people aleady know about his catch. How will Harlow Wilcox turn the bad news around, and into a commercial? Don’t worry, he does.
The Kingsmen sing, My Fickle Eye. Fibber faces up to his guilt, and phones the Game Warden, Warden Gorden Jordan. After only a brief brush with Myrt the telephone operator, he gets through. First, Mayor Latrivia enters to hear Fibbers confession. Will he have some pull in getting Fibber out of trouble? Warden Gorden Jordan shows up, but he won’t be swayed by any arguement about breaking the law. Still, he has a secret that has Fibber off the hook. Or is it Molly who has the secret that gets Fibber off the hook?
