In the wild and wooly country near Skagway, a group of rough and shady characters recognize a chance for a scam. Sophie is the leader of the gang, and unbeknownst to the minister, he uses the reverend who is trying to raise funds to build a church to swindle cash for his own pockets.
Hearing of the lawlessness, Sgt Preston has his hands tied when the town is outside his jurisdiction. Still as a favor, he agrees to go to Skagway in an unofficial capacity, but he can do little more than observe the rampant crime. Taking his faithful side kick with him, King only comprehends the situation as only a dog can.
Sensing the undesireables and criminal element all around, heedless of man-made boundaries, King growls, and is on alert for trouble.
When King deals with the dogs of the criminals in town he sets up a situation that’s sure to bring the end of the notorious Sophie Smith.
