The Silver Clipper races out West, from Denver to Salt Lake City, but threats from the Wolf warn of danger. Superman flies as fast as he can and wonders over who the Wolf is, what is he up to, and will he be in time?
Meanwhile, The Wolf talks to his henchman, Keno about their mission to paralyze the railroads. They are just following orders from an unknown higher authority. As a practice run, they are about to blow up the tressle on a train as it approaches Denver. Up in the sky, Superman plans to take a closer look as clark Kent, but spies the bad guys planting the bomb.
As Clark Kent, what can he do to stop the train? He overplays his hand, and is forced to take more desperate measures, but will it be in time to avoid the landslide that is to come? The conductor is less than appreciative, but Clark gets away, and continues his flight as Superman. After he clears away the rockslide of course.
Keno has to deliver the sad report to the Wolf, and about the mysterious Clark Kent. They get their plane ready to take their game to the next playing field.
