Children live in a world all their own. Sandra is daddy’s little pet, but causes grief for all her housekeepers. When daddy is to be married, Sandra hates the intrusion on the monopoly to her affections, even before meeting her new mom.
The girl puts on an angelic front of happiness when daddy is around. Behind the scenes, she becomes passive aggressive, and even outright hateful. Steve just can’t believe his girl can behave badly. Is Helen just being unreasonable, and not used to dealing with kids? Is she being impatient with the spoiled little schemer?
Patience, and faith in Sandra is pushed to Helen’s limits. The girl knows how to pull daddy’s strings, and even resorts to running away. Are all the barbs, small and large doing their trick? Is the marriage on the rocks?
When a dose of Helen’s nerve medication is prescribed for Sandra, an unfortunate accident brings the battle to an end, for everybody.
