The three Randal girls were as different as could be. Pamela and Cathy were of two extremes, and Sally was in the middle. Pamela is overbearing, while Cathy is timid and vulnerable. One day Cathy is found after a failed suicide atttempt. Pamela suspects her grief was due to thinking that Sally’s fiancee, Henry Frank is in love with her. Pamela also is jealous that their father left the estate to Sally, and it’ll be up to her to keep her sisters around, offering them a place to live. Will she want to?
Sally only wants to get married, and leave her sisters behind. She leaves the house to her sisterss, and their fair portion of the money left to her. Pamela is still jealous, and comes up with a plan to kill both Sally and Henry. Using her overbearing nature, she convinces the vulnerable Cathy to help spread rumors around town. An imaginary scandal is spread that puts Sally in a bad light, and in position to appear to be the guilty party in their plan to kill Henry.
Now the sisters need to complete their set up that will trap Sally. The plan for the staged murder and suicide begins to unravel. The quick thinking Pamela has to accelerate her plan. It’ll still work. Right?
The Whistler knows about a twist that Pamela didn’t count on. There is a murder, but not who you might expect, and justice is carried out in a nerve racking confession, in the wierd style that can only happen with the Wistler.
