Dan Holiday uses Box 13 so he can remain anonymous until he feels like taking up a case. Today he gets a letter from someone who has discovered his identity. The man turns out to be an academic, a brainy professor who wants to present a perfect crime for Dan to help him with. Dan doesn’t subscribe to that idea since even the most traces of a clue can still lead to a criminal. There is no such thing as a perfect crime.

Days later, Dan is offered a trip to Chicago with the professor in regards to a murder. The doc claims that he killed the woman, and sets about to prove it. The doc is upset to learn that he won’t be arrested for the crime. What an oddball, but still more days later Dan gets another phone call, and another, and another. For months, the doctor confesses to every murder on the books. Don’t worry, it’s all part of the professor’s mental chess game to get away with murder.

Though Dan has had about enough, he goes along with the professor on one last case, and is told of his elaborate plan, is there anything Dan can do to stop a murder? Is the guy just a harmless kook? This is just too wierd to describe.

Just listen in to get the murder scene, and clues for yourself. We all know who the killer is, but the mystery is how did he do it, and where is the body? Here’s a hint: It’s all about slight of hand. A magician’s trick. If Dan is on the ball, the last trick will be on the doc though.
