Transcribed tales of time and space, the story for today is either a magnificent hoax, or the true account of what happened at Grimshaw’s sanitarium back in 1947.
A manuscript is uncovered, and the voiceover account tells of the plight of Johnny. In flashback mode, Johnny and his gal have a close brush with a hearse. The vehicle is driving without lights, and leaving a cemetary in the middle of the night, and taking a coffin ut, instead of leaving it.
Being a detective, and having his curiosity peaked, Johnny springs into top gear, and sets about learning the answer. The coffin contained only a dummy, and after taking the case to the aledged dead man’s family, he is hired as a Private Eye to learn the truth.
Going undercover as a patient in the sanitarium. Amid the loonies in the bin, secrets about the special treatment cases are learned. Johnny finds a co-conspirator to dig up dirt and discover hints at the inhuman experiments going on. Doctor Grimshaw really isn’t in charge. He’s just the front man for a Nazi scientist in hiding after the war.
Johnny gets a little close to the secret, and knows too much. Along with the dead man he came to find, he becomes the ext victim in the inhuman experiments, but he survives to get his story out. Or does he? The world may never know.
