More money has come up missing, and we find Squire and Abner discussing the possible criminals. Abner assures Squire that he’s confident he isn’t to blame. Squire leans to believing that Lum took the money, but is it theft if the owner takes it? Abner is sure that Lum is honest, and didn’t do it.
Squire explains his case, and that Lum is blinded with love for Zenora. Word around the big top has it that Lum is still wanting to spend money on her.
Lum is tired of all of Squires accusations, and snooping. He shares with Abner about his plan for a trap to catch the thief. Is he beginning to think that CEdric might be guilty? Who keeps sneaking around outside the wagon?
