Cora is weeping in her bedroom. What was that creaking door, and was there an intruder in her room? Evidence shows there was someone there, and soon the police are on hand to investigate. In the old Victorian fashion, Mr Armor’s room is across the hall from his wife’s. Mrs Armor has a case of sensitive nerves. Is this a burglar, or someone playing a terrible prank at the expense of Cora Armor’s sensitive condition?
Though she is instructed to keep a journal of happenings around the house, and to phone the police, is there anything they can actually do to solve the mystery? Will her journal entries offer up anything productive? At the least it serves to steady her nerves, and keep her occupied over the weeks to come.
The day comes when Hubert has to leave Cora alone while he is on a business trip. Noises that go bump in the night have her paranoia kicked into high gear Are they just noises, or footsteps? Join the emotional roller coaster ride with the unstable Cora for thrilling moments. The hermit offers a few words in the dramatic scene of a scream, a gunshot, and the aftermath that a murderer leaves in his wake.
Hubert has some explaining to do with the cops. Does he have an alibi? Will they believe his story? If you can’t figure it out, the mystery is unravelled as the cops turn up the heat, and those journal pages point the finger at her killer.
Hi. I enjoy the shows and am glad you post them. I downloaded this “Hermit’s Cave” episode and it is actually titled “Notebook on Murder,” not “Plantation Mystery.” Didn’t matter because I didn’t have it but thought you might want to know
Good call on the title difference. I have to say that I don’t know a lot on the Hermits Cave, or its history. I got this collection as part of a 10 DVD set from Dennis Humphreys, and his Radio Memories Network. I’m having fun with it as I’m hearing most of the shows in the series for the first time myself.
If you are interested in that 10 disk set, it’s no longer available.
