We join grandpap and Abner on their way to Lum’s house, wondering what kind of trouble Lum is in now. We get a hint that the recent troubles are over regarding almost marrying the widow, and the running of their radio station.
Lum tempts his friends to help with some home decorating with some refreshments. Sandwiches, cookies, and coaco. Grandpap talks about former residents of Pine Ridge, particularly the previous owners of Lum’s house.
Meanwhile, Abner finds a hole in the wall that leads to a secret passageway. A dusty, secret room is discovered in the attic. A locked iron trunk is found, but is it a treasure left by the former owener?
