Tempers flare as the gang still point fingers at each other for the strange happenings. Once the dust settles, Doc reviews the clues more fully. An explanation of most of the disappearances, and grave robbing activities are reviewed by Doc. Events seem to mesh, but is there a good explanation for all the flying accusations?
The phantom church bells sound, old claw foot howls, and mysterious footsteps approach the front door. It all serves to built nervous frustration for our little band who contain themselves in the care taker’s cottage. Suddenly, when taking a peek outside, the Mayor is snatched away by unseen hands!
There’s no kidnapping. The only thing missing is the black pearl. Claw Foot is too far away, howling in the distance. Who could the man clothed in black be? If the killer and thief is one of the group as Friday had claimed earlier, what does that mean for him, since he’s the only one missing? Doubts are raised again as suspicions fall on the mayor. Was he really abducted, or was he faking it?
