When a client enters, Richard has to get off the phone with his girlfriend Hellen. Ed Marton is concerned over the accidents going on at his plant. Is it just unsafe practices, or is somebody out to take down the high powered businessman? Richard goes to the factory to meet Steve Miller, the plant foreman, and see if there’s anything else to learn. Ed may understand metal, and the product his factory produces, but his people skills could use some work. Is that enough motive to ruin him though?
Richard finds a lot that doesn’t add up. The accidents can clearly have been prevented, but is it that Steve isn’t reporting the broken safety devices the way he claims? Is Ed turning a deaf ear to those reports that things need repair?
Taking an after hours tour of the facility, Richard thinks he may find evidence of sabotage. Has Richard touched a nerve, and caused the culprit to squirm? A matter of jealousy and resentment bubble out, but Richard knows how to handle the situation. Now it’s back to spend a cozy evening with Hellen, as Richard croons, I Cried for You.
