Liz and George argue about their plans for the evening. Liz wants to go to the concert, but George wants to play poker. Without a compromise, they decide to do their own things alone.
First, Liz attends a ladies luncheon where a speaker talks about having a happy marriage. He tries to lay blame at the feet of women, and encourages the ladies to be a friend to their husbands. Liz may not fully agree with the concept, but decides to give it a try. I have to agree that it can’t always be the woman who is at fault in every single case, but if you are the one who is seeking a solution, the best place to begin is with the actions you control. take the responsibility for action instead of being passive, and hoping the other person will change.
OK, psychology lesson is over.
Liz tries to understand sports, but can she play poker? Though she is clueless about the game, she has an amazing run of beginners luck. When she has driven George nuts long enough, he decides to take her camping to see how much she can handle.
Not wanting to fail at the test, Liz blackmails Corrie into doublecrossing George, helping her with fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. George sees through the tricks, and in the end the two make up.
The audio quality is fairly good, but especially through the outdoor trip, the recording skips a lot. The whole set up reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode where Fred and Desi want to prove their manhood, and do the same kind of thing with Ethyl and Lucy. The gals stage some heroic, and hilarious stunts at fishing and hunting, so they can appear to better at it than the guys.
