It’s the traditional annual Christmas show. The same since 1933.
In the peaceful, snowy scene of the streets of Pine Ridge, three gents trudge down the road, following the East star, and bearing gifts. Grandpap tells how it started with a phone call from a feller named Joe something. He had travelled to the county seat to pay his taxes. With no room at the inn , he and his bride have sought shelter in a barn, and are expecting a baby.
Grandpap claims they’re from over in Pleasant Valley, but the couple don’t know folks over here. The charitable acts of Doc Milller are praised. If any one feller has a place in the after life, its sure to be Doc Miller.
Gifts are delivered, but the gents wait outside until after the baby arrives. Learning Joe is a carpenter, jobs are planned to give him some work. The old gents ponder their short time left on earth, compared to the new life about to be born.
Doc Miller announces the birth, as a choir sings a round of Silent Night.
