Is his lost overshoe the thing that Fibber is trying to remember? After Wellington has a brush with the hall closet Billy Mills is on hand to play, Blue Skies.
Looking for that forgotten item, Fibber makes a phone call, but gets Mirt the phone operator. He learns about her aunt, and a lost, big, beautiful Afghan. Harlowe Wilcox stops in to tell about something he borrowed, and the sponsor’s message… of course.
Molly thinks the thing is a broken clock in the bedroom, but she could be mistaken. Alice Darling arrives to tell about being ignored by a boyfriend at Christmas. The Kingsmen sing, Only Twelve Shopping Months Till Christmas.
Reviewing all the things mentioned today that he’s trying to remember, Fibber gets a visit from Doc Gamble. Did Fibber forget to pay doc’s bill? The bickering gents mix it up with colorful metaphor, then doc reviews his bill. In the end, Molly may have the real reason for the ribbon.
