Dick Huddleston visits to talk about some fellows who were supposed to reopen the hotel after the war is over. Lum and Abner are surprised to learn the place isn’t going to reopen.
With housing conditions the way they are, Dick figures he can persuade the stockholders to reopen as long as he can prove the renovations, and business will be profitable. If either Lum, Dick, or Abner own a part of the stock, it might hold some leverage in the decision, but there might also be some challenges.
