All the Gook family have gathered on the front steps, and we find Sade asking when Vic plans to put up the porch swing for the season. It just won’t do to sit around on the front steps like heathens. Rush has his own troubles on his mind. He has the chance to use a hammock, given to him by uncle Fletcher. The only place to put it is in Nicer Scot’s backyard. A problem for both him, and for Sade. Neither get along with the Scott’s.
Even if the situation might work out, Rush outlines the myriad of logistical troubles it will introduce.
