Though the chest of Confederate money that Lum and Abner found is worthless as currency, it still holds some value for a collector. The trouble is that they gave it all to Cedric, who has been using it to trade with his friends.
Grandpap has been keeping an eye on the store, and hears from Abner about the quest to gather up the money that Cedric has spread through the town. It’s only worth a penny on the dollar, but that still represents $3000 if it can all be collected.
Abner’s plan could cost more than it’s worth to get the money back, but Lum entrs with news that most of it has been found. He confuses Abner on how the money is to be split out between them. A last minute secret could ruin our heroes dreams though.
