As we find Gracie and George at home, she reads an article about Robert Montgomery, and his expected film. It will be the Story of Napoleon and Joesephine, and is to be backed by a big Texas backer, who just happens to be a friend who stops by. The Texan leaves a check with Gracie to give to Robert Montgomery. While George heads out to the cigar store, the famous actor stops in to pick up his check, but gets a few confused moments from Gracie instead.
Can George talk sense to Gracie? Will she give up the check? Only if her hubby can star in the film. To appease her George is given a walk on part, but she’s still holding the script hostage until she gets her way.
Collette, The French actress who costars in the film, makes an appearance. Given the chance, the French actress has no trouble turning down George for Robert, until Gracie pulls Collette aside to change her mind. Robert has his own ideas though, and has Gracie watch the love scene that George will be faced with for the next several weeks. The kissing gets hot and heavy. Will this be the straw of jealousy that breaks Gracie’s will for George to be the leading man?
