In honor of the holiday, Washington’s Birthday, Gildersleeves has decided to sleep in, but now he has to contend with time for the bathroom. It’s all about aunt Hattie trying to make her hair look nice for Judge Hooker. Is a romance brewing? Is Leroy up to something when he keeps borrowing his uncle’s typewriter?
Concerned for his sister, Gildersleeves goes to confront the Judge. The Judge gets a kick out of his powers over women, but when pressed, just what are his intentions with Gildy’s sister? Back at home, Gildy interrogates Hattie’s intentions in her growing relationship with the judge?
In epilog, Gildersleeves encourages folks to write to their loved ones serving in the troops overseas.
