Looking to quench their thirst after a long day in the saddle, Jingles has to settle for the warm water in his canteen when the spring he and Bill find is a hot water mineral spring. A mysterious message leads them to explore a nearby cavern. Suddenly,. they find themselves in a dangerous situation they never saw coming.
The whole canyon has seemed to explode and fill with boiling hot water. Bill expplains about the geysers found in these parts. After the geyser fades away, cool water returns for our heroes to refresh themselves. Jingles marvels at the scenic view, but the pastoral moment is interrupted when bandits nab the law men. Help comes from an unlikely source, the one who left them such a mysterious message to begin with. Answers come, but the way out is filled with dangers.
Making their get away, a horse chase under blazing pistols soon finds Bill and his friends out in the open and bbandits closing fast. Irt takes a timely geyser blast from the unreliable spring to put a barrier between them and ensure a route to safety.
