Abner is in Squire Skimps office, waiting for his physical examination for the business partner insurance that he is about to buy. He is nervous over the physical, and the nature of the policy that ensures business partners. If one partner should die, the other has money he may need to take over the business.
The doctor arrives and asks Abner some routine questions. As the doctor races through the list of symptoms, Squire has to help with some answers. Abner has gotten confused over whether an airplane ride is needed for some of those. Will the trouble he’s having in his leg cause problems? As the list of symptoms races past, Abner thinks he has a metal ear. Will this new worry, and misunderstanding also be a problem for him?
While taking his blood pressure, Abner is worried the doctor has found some problems with his systolic and diastolic measurements. Whatever those are, Abner doesn’t know. Has the doctor uncovered a wealth of physical ailments on Abner? Is it just his imagination?
