It seems the man has some issues over the way a particular salloon girl is being mistreated. The girl is the gambler’s step daughter.
So why is the drunk so keen on revenge? The gambler stole away his wife and little girl years ago, and ruined him. The oppressive gambler doesn’t want to let the now grown daughter leave. The old drunk is too ashamed to try to reunite with his long lost daughter, but cvan’t bear to see her suffer in the life she is in.
The pieces come together for Matt, and he helps the girl flee, while trying to prevent the old drunk from committing murder. Can he stop the ruthless gambler from As it turns out, there’s only one way. The girl flees, the gambler tries to catch her, and the drunk guns him down to save his daughter. Even when it means his death sentence.
