Sailing near the equator, Ship master, Philip Carney takes on cargo to pick up a few bucks, and take on a couple of passengers. Before the ship can sail, there’s trouble with the passengers, when the father reports his son is missing in a bad part of town.
Dad is sure something bad has happened, maybe a kidnapping by some wierd religious cult? Philip sends dad to the Scarlet Queen, and follows up on the sons last known whereabouts. Soon, Philip finds himself outside a temple. People have been known to have disappeared and never seen again, when it comes to this temple.
Philip goes the direct route to gain access to the temple, but no luck. Will Carney get his wish, and see the inside of the temple? Certainly, but how will he get himself out? In his typical picturesque style Carney offers descriptive imagery as he lerns some surprising secrets within the temple. What about the one he came for? Will Stanley want to leave?
Philip Carney has his hands full as he fights his way out of the inner chambers of the temmple. You can bet that he’ll make it back to the Scarlet Queen in time to set sail on fair winds, and clear skies.
