The search for the robbers continue. Today, Lum and Abner set out to do their part to catch those city slickers who took their money. After looking for half the day, and needing to fill their car, the gas station attendant gives them a hard time over wanting Ethyl. He only has one pump. Can’t you see it there?
The crabby attendant gripes the whole time as he pumps $1.26 to fill their tank. Then he complains about needing to run back inside to make a change for a five-dollar bill.
After a hard day of searching, the gents relax in rocking chairs, and. the gents wonder at the next crazy thing they see Cedric doing outside their window. Might uncle henry be right? Are the thieves hiding somewhere locally?
Lum decides to phone uncle Henry for a report on the search, and the lawman wants the gents to come over to the jail. Will Lum and Abner be able to identify the Talbert’s? A turnaround is in store when the crabby gas station owner is held by uncle Henry.
