Lum enters with unusual orders to the wholesale house. Will the new lines of merchandise make an impression on the potential buyers?
Abner is confused at the oversized orders, but it’s all part of Lum’s plan to make the store look more important. How will the gents expect to cover the expensive ordering?
Cedric enters, and along with Mousey Gray, they help to put in oversized orders of gumdrops and other sundries. Mr. Talbot seems impressed, but can’t make head or tails out of the notation on the books. it turns out to be some scores of checker games between Abner and grandpap.
The phone keeps ringing as Cedric keeps charging things. Big orders keep coming over the party line. Mr. Talbert still can’t make sense of the bookkeeping Lum uses.
