The cast spend a few moments in casual joking and generally cracking wise with each other. As Marjie and her friends visit, jokes on Christmas trees, and all things Christmas related are hurled about. Then we’re introduced to a boy, Robert Weatherby, who proclaims there’s no Santa, and is generally anti Christmas, until he breaks a glass statue of Santa Claus.
His conscience kicks in, and he has a bad dream. Hee’s haunted by the fact that he killed Santa, and he now is on the run from the cops. Margie and Ed step into Dragnet like roles as they play police detectives to track down the ruthless Santa killer. How will the boy react when he’s confronted with his crimes in the seedy bar that he has been hiding out in?
Of course it’s a dream, but great fun to spoof Dragnet. Returning to reality, Christmas turns out to be just fine.
