Back on the open sea, the crew of the Spindrift approach the harbor of Manila. Is there hope of finding the Black Shark anchored among the other scooners and deep water fishing boats? They find Blackbeards ship, but if they found it, might their enemies also have spotted the Spindrift as well?
Uncle Jim tells that he plans to openly visit their opponents to find out their intentions. Billy and Betty worry over his safety. However, Billy needs to worry about their immediate safety as they navigate the crowded harbor. Will their adventure take them from the relatively civilized part of the Philipeans, to the interior where head hunters live?
Keeping an eye on the Black Shark, Jack and his crew worrry about pirates. Securing the Spindrift, the sskiff is made ready to board the Black Shark.
If uncle Jim and Jack don’t return in half an hour, the worried Betty and Billy are to take the other skiff to shore and to the police.
